The 2022 edition of the WARC Awards for Effectiveness, in association with Lions, are now launched.

The response to the first ever edition earlier this year was phenomenal, with huge levels of entries. All those case studies are now on warc.com for our clients to review and learn from.

This demonstrated to us the demand for a truly global effectiveness award – one that’s judged in a consistent manner, regardless of region or industry sector, by utilising a standardised, robustly researched framework to help our judges to evaluate success. We call this the WARC and Lions Effectiveness Ladder and you can read more about it in our entry pack. We will be using this framework again this year and will include the B2B version of the Ladder, recently developed with James Hurman and LinkedIn’s The B2B Institute, to help judge that category.

All entries remain free and will continue to be published on the WARC platform after the winners are announced, at the returning Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in June next year.

We are thrilled that a wonderfully talented group of global marketing leaders has agreed to chair our juries: Ann Mukherjee of Pernod Ricard (Brand Purpose),  Antonia Wade of PwC (Business-to-Business), Michael Flatt at Xbox (Collaboration & Culture), Zena Srivatsa Arnold of Kimberly-Clark (Instant Impact), Suresh Balaji 包励治 of HSBC (Sustained Growth) and Akira Mitsumasu of Japan Airlines (Customer Experience).

The juries they are leading are full of global talent from across agencies, brands and media platforms of all types, and we can’t wait for them to review the most effective marketing work from across the world.

These Awards are an important celebration but they are also an important moment for reflection and for learning. To further our industry’s understanding of how to drive sustainable brand growth through a combination of short, medium and long-term strategies.

Entries are… open! Time to show off your best work.
