Tony Ball, former ceo of UK satellite giant BSkyB, is reportedly mulling a move to German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1.

American billionaire Haim Saban, who bought the German TV colossus last year [WAMN: 11-Aug-03], wants Ball to be one of six new members of ProSieben's supervisory board. It is thought Saban is interested in expanding his company into pay-TV, a sector in which the former BSkyB man has an enviable record.

Ball left the Murdoch-controlled satellite group in September. He has a three-year non-compete clause, but this is not expected to hinder a move to a European operator.
