Barclays Global Investors is on the hunt for a new ad agency for its $10–$20 million I-Shares account, following news that incumbent Saatchi & Saatchi in San Francisco is to close [WAMN: 30-May-01].

Advertising director Paul Nobile revealed he is looking for an integrated agency with a strong presence around San Francisco, the city in which the firm is based. The chosen shop will manage multiple media for both business-to-business and consumer advertising.

Contact has already been made with a number of agencies, said Nobile, with shortlisted shops due to receive invitations next week. A decision is expected in August.
