LONDON: One of the UK's leading independent advertising agencies, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, has unveiled a management suite shuffle which sees the elevation to ceo status of Simon Sherwood, currently group chief operating officer.

In the wake of Sherwood's promotion, founding partner Nigel Bogle (pictured) has become group chairman with special focus on development of the BBH brand and on new revenue streams.

John Hegarty remains the shop's worldwide creative head, while Gwyn Jones, erstwhile ceo of BBH New York, becomes group coo.

The moves come as the agency prepares to open a new office in Mumbai, bringing to six the number of global outposts, in New York, São Paolo, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.

Comments Bogle: "As our business continues to expand and we look to open in India in 2008, we need more senior global management resource."
