ST ALBANS, UK - Acquisitive Premier Foods, owner of the Branston and Ambrosia brands, is reported to be eyeing UK foods business United Biscuits.
According to reports in the Sunday Times, Premier has joined forces with private equity group Lion Capital to table a £1 billion ($1.81bn; €1.45bn) offer for the maker of leading brands Jaffa Cakes and Hula Hoops.
