A couple of months ago, I decided to conduct an experiment. I wrote my first ever recruitment advertisement. The opportunity was a really interesting one: to work as a strategic communications consultant for COI Communications. Of course, being a public sector organisation, the salary wasn't over generous, but the challenges and interest that these jobs could offer were outstanding.

The 'experiment' was to target the ad differently to appeal directly to marketers over 40 years of age who had a wealth of experience, had worked across a range of companies...
