Misusing personal data is the leading cause of public distrust in the tech industry, according to the latest research from Dentsu Aegis Network. Across 24 countries, nearly two-thirds said the misuse of their data is a main cause for not trusting the tech industry. In response, over three-quarters of people have tried to limit their online footprint.
