Uber: Distracted goalkeeper

Uber, a service provider, launched a campaign in Brazil to raise awareness of, and promote debates surrounding, the levels of safety in Brazilian traffic.

Objectives

Since Uber is all about cars and cell phones, the purpose of the campaign was to reach the large public nationally during Yellow May, a month dedicated to raising awareness for safer traffic among drivers, alerting people to the problem, and, more than that, promoting conversations to raise awareness.

Uber aims to promote a more humane traffic in the cities where it operates. In Brazil, that is an outstanding challenge since in 2018, the country had the 4th most violent traffic in the world with 54.000 casualties.
