The number of sponsored posts by lifestyle influencers on TikTok in Europe and North America rose 95% in the first half of 2020, according to data from influencer management platform Traackr.
Over the same period, YouTube (-17%), Instagram (-33%) and Twitter (-65%) all saw a drop in sponsored posts.
The number of active lifestyle influencers on the short-form video platform also grew 368% in the first half of 2020, while YouTube (-16%), Instagram (-29%) and Twitter (-43%) registered decline. This follows rapid user growth for TikTok, reaching 689m monthly users in July 2020.
