Description of Assignment

A few years ago, Wall Street philanthropist and long-time K-12 education reformer Steve Klinsky set his sights on a new objective: to make college more accessible and affordable for everyone. Frustrated by the empty promise of massive open online courses (aka MOOCs), he set out to find an alternative, tuition-free path to earning college credits. After months of development, he enlisted RoseComm to launch Modern States Education Alliance and its Freshman Year for Free program. Taught by professors from leading universities, Modern States courses prepare students for the College Board's Advanced Placement (AP) and College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams, which can lead to college credit at more than 2,900 colleges and universities. RoseComm also was charged with announcing Modern States' commitment to pay the College Board exam fees for the first 10,000 test takers.
