Road crashes kill 150,000 people each year and are the single biggest cause of unntatural deaths of individuals in the age gruop of 15-49. They put a burden of 30% of the country's GDP Vulnerable road users affected:

AB InBev has been piloting on-ground interventions called City Pilots across the world in its efforts to identify test and independently measure and evaluate evidence-based interventions, in partnership with locally relevant organizations. These interventions focus on locally relevant issues like improving road safety, reducing road user vulnerability, addressing the perils of drunk driving and underage drinking, among others.

Safer Roads For Gurugram initiative: AB InBev's City Pilot Programme in India

In 2018, AB InBev decided to launch a City Pilot programme in India and reached-out to Avian Media to identify the geography, curate the programme and facilitate on-ground implementation. Based on an exhaustive mapping exercise by Avian WE, AB InBev chose road safety as its City Pilot programme to address pertinent issues in Gurugram, Haryana.
