Rajasthan is a state in India located in the northwestern part of the Indian Union. It is the country's largest state with approximately 55 million people. The area of Rajasthan is nearly equivalent to some of the developed countries of the western world like Norway, Poland and Italy. It is largely an arid state. The desert area of the state is among the few tropical deserts of the world which have the highest population density.
