In recent years the Poles have been the largest single group of migrants to the UK. The actual number of Poles in Britain varies from 230,000 (the official figure) to 1 million (estimated by a Polish newsmagazine). Despite this lack of consensus on numbers, the Polish influx has been described as ‘the largest and swiftest mass migration in British history’.
With so many Poles putting down roots in Britain, MEC was keen to understand Brit-Pole culture, so we undertook qualitative research amongst Poles...
