The letter was addressed to Mr Jeremy Bellmore. Nothing very surprising about that: Im very rarely Bullmore; far more often Bulmer and very, very frequently Bullimore. In New York, Ive been Jerry Bullwink. Bellmore was a refreshing variation. The address on the envelope was THOMPSON J WALTER CO LTD a company, when deciphered, Id left twelve years earlier.
