Summary
At the start of 2022, 8.5% of people in Somalia were vaccinated against COVID-19, while only 2% of the population of Yemen had received one dose of the vaccine. During the pandemic, as wealthier countries continued vaccination campaigns against COVID-19 and new virus variants triggered spikes in cases, millions of people living through conflict and armed violence had yet to receive a single vaccine dose.
