How Cadbury used AR to drive Christmas engagement

Augmented reality is predicted to be a £90bn market within five years, with most of that generated by brands and advertisers.

Augmented reality (AR) is set to be worth £90bn in the next five years, according to Luke Zaki, Global Client Director of Blippar. And most of that amount is going to be generated from brands and advertisers, he told the Millennial 20/20 conference (London, March 2018).

While this projection may have surprised many of those present, Zaki pointed to the fact that, in mature markets, 30% of smartphone users are already engaging with augmented reality (AR) every single week – and it’s a trend that’s fast moving.
