CES 2018 delivered numerous new technologies of potential interest to marketers, but several core themes emerged that may be the priority for brands seeking to understand the changing digital ecosystem.

While CES is always a fun – if overwhelming – experience for tech enthusiasts and marketers looking for the next big trend, it has become pretty obvious that a bunch of dystopian realities are potentially headed our way in the years to come.

Few technologies are inherently "bad", but some of the new products and services that will become accessible to us in the future point towards a set of truly disruptive trends. For every convenience, there is a cost. And with so many tech conveniences available, there will be much to pay.
