INTRODUCTION
The use of drugs has been spiraling worldwide. Statistical data from the last report published by CEBRID (Center of Information on Psychotropic Drugs) shows that 12% of the Brazilian population has used some type of illegal drug: marijuana (7%), solvents (3%), and cocaine (2%), roughly speaking.
