Gesicht Zeigen!: Mein Kampf – against racism

Gesicht Zeigen!, a non-profit organisation, launched a campaign that marked the return to print of Hitler's 'Mein Kampf' in Germany with a special edition of the book that instead featured 11 stories of holocaust survivors or refugees.

Objectives

In the course of the recent European refugee crisis Germany experienced a dramatic shift in politics and society. Suddenly anti-immigrant statements were not isolated neo-Nazi opinions anymore but made it into the public debate and into people's social feeds.

Until the end of 2015 the new wave of xenophobia and right-wing extremism had taken a dangerous dynamic: Right-wing populists like AfD made a faceless bogeyman out of the 1,1 million refugees that sought shelter in Germany. Out of nowhere the party achieved double-digit poll results...
