Amazon leads in generic and product-specific searches, Google in branded search

In the UK, Amazon leads in generic and product-specific searches while Google is more popular when it comes to branded search, such as stand-alone brand and brand-specific product queries, according to Tambo’s analysis. 

Amazon claimed greater search volume in beauty, home and kitchen, and pet supplies, and users tend to search on Amazon if the category is bulky or repeatable. Google sees higher search volume in consumer electronics, fashion, and grocery.
