Why Clarissa from Silent Witness is diversity in action
A best-in-class example of diversity in action is the character Clarissa in the drama Silent Witness, a BBC study has found.
The BBC worked with market research company Ipsos on a project to decode contemporary culture and identify ways in which different audiences could be better represented in BBC output. Clarissa is played by actor Liz Carr, who has the condition arthrogryposis multiplex congenita and uses a wheelchair.
