Pinterest saw its advertising revenue growth slow throughout 2019 and the first half of 2020 but is now growing quicker than other major social platforms, according to a WARC Data analysis of company reports.

The visual- and interest-oriented social platform has proven attractive for advertisers and users because of its focus on shopping. The company states that shopping ad revenue grew quicker than the overall business and there was a 6x increase in the number of businesses using the shopping ads format in Q4.
