One in five fans use mobile apps to consume sports content
One-fifth (19%) of sports fans across the globe consume sports content on mobile apps, according to data from YouGov.
Why it matters
The increasing demand for short-form and interactive content has changed the way fans consume content, with mobile apps now playing a more important role. This trend is particularly strong in Asia Pacific.
- Vietnam is the country with the strongest sports consumption via mobile devices, with almost half (48%) of fans reporting to do so.
- Europe and North America report some of the lowest proportions of mobile sports activity in comparison.
