How brands can nudge consumers into sustainability
People in the UK are ready for sustainable living but may need a nudge, from brands as well as government, to make and maintain changes to their behaviour, research from market research agency Walnut Unlimited suggests.
Why it matters
In many ways, brands are pushing at an open door. Walnut’s research shows that two thirds of the population (68%) – those it terms the Adopters and the Planners – are already acting on living more sustainably, planning to do so, or thinking about it; only 30% are in denial about what needs to be done.
