The top-performing brands on the Amazon digital shelf maintain at least a 95% in-stock rate, but a significant portion of food and non-alcoholic drink brands are struggling to reach this level, according to data in WARC's latest Digital Commerce Index Amazon report.
Around two-fifths of food brands (42%) and non-alcoholic drink brands (38%) had an in-stock rate below 95% on Amazon in Q1 2022, the highest proportion across the nine categories tracked. Both have high household replenishment rates and therefore are more likely to be impacted by supply chain disruptions.
