The number of hours spent watching gaming livestreams has grown by 12.0% year-on-year, according to the latest data from stream management platform StreamElements and analytics platform Arsenal.gg. In December 2019, 1,194 million hours were spent on four of the largest platforms – an increase from 1,066m the year before.
Facebook Gaming saw the largest increase, rising 210.1% year-on-year to over 100m hours. This increased its market share significantly, from 3.1% in December 2018 to 8.5% a year later.
