Average weekly internet retail sales (aka e-commerce) in the UK's household goods sector have grown by 136.2% since August 2009, according to the latest data from the Office for National Statistics. Total weekly internet sales reached £82 million in August 2018, £18 million more than in the previous year and £47 million more than the level seen in August 2009. Seasonal variations have grown more prominent in recent years, with November and December increasing their dominance.
