The latest Nielsen Gauge data has revealed that, while total TV usage dipped in February, streaming usage once again claimed the largest share of TV viewing in the US.
Despite the seasonality effect on TV viewership, with TV usage declining in Spring, one standout event in February in the US was the Super Bowl LVIII, which attracted 123.7 million viewers. Sporting events boosted broadcast and cable viewing as well as streaming: Paramount+ gained 24% in February due to its simultaneous carriage of the Super Bowl alongside CBS, according to Nielsen.
