Just one-third of Singaporean TV consumption is traditional

An overview of TV consumption by format in Singapore and paid subscription service penetration.

Connected TVs and paid subscription services are challenging traditional TV in Singapore, according to the latest research from dataxu. Traditional content continues to account for the majority of total TV consumption (36%), but connected TVs (32%) and paid subscription services (31%) are close behind.

Indeed, for those aged 25-34, traditional TV is the least popular format with its share at just one-quarter (27%).

Paid subscription service consumption declines as age rises, from 43% for 18-24 year olds to just 13% for those over 66. Connected TV shows a less steep decline and peaks for those aged 25-34 (36%)...
