Mobile gaming is becoming increasingly casual, according to data from mobile analytics company Sensor Tower.
The hypercasual genre of mobile games, which are easy-to-play and have a minimalistic user interface, accounted for one-third (31%) of all game downloads last year. This is the third year in a row the genre has grown its share.
Although other genres saw growth in the number of downloads last year, the surge for hypercasual means their share of downloads actually fell.
