USA TODAY Network takes a mobile-first approach
Approximately a decade ago, at the beginning of the mobile revolution, most publishers tried to build desktop websites that functioned properly on smaller screens. Today, however, USA TODAY Network is taking a profoundly different approach.
"We've moved to building mobile-first, and then adding components to the desktop experience later," Daniel Bernard, the company's Chief Product Officer, reported at the Open Mobile Summit 2016 in San Francisco. "I think you'll see a trend towards that."
