Women do 66% of the world's work but only earn 10% of the world's income. Despite the meager income they reinvest 90% of their income back into the family. Women are the bearers of the next generation; research asserts that female empowerment is not only inherently good for societies as a whole but women as agents of human development facilitate the very environment in which gender-equality results can be best achieved for children and future generations.
