USJ LLC: Stress buying center

Universal Studios Japan (USJ), a theme park, opened a Stress Buying Centre where stress could be converted into travel vouchers, striving to deliver super energy to visitors by creating an opportunity for them to visit the park like before the pandemic.

Objectives &Challenges

  • USJ, located at Osaka Japan, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021 and launched its new "NO LIMIT! Super Energy" brand campaign. Through entertainment experiences of "super excitement" and "super thrill" with NO LIMITs, USJ has been striving to deliver "super energy" to visitors through various efforts.
  • Since the pandemic, there have been long-term visitor number limits set by the government, leading to a significant decrease in park visitors (esp. visitors from TOKYO area which is 500km away from Osaka) compared to before the pandemic. Many people have not been able to receive USJ's brand mission of "super energy"....
