Around the world, people are living longer. As the incidence of cancer in older people increases, so does the challenges to help them live fuller, healthier lives. Approximately 37% of new cancer cases worldwide are diagnosed in people older than 70; this number is predicted to more than double by 2040. However, older people with cancer are often overlooked and aren't given the same level of care as their younger counterparts.
