Nando's, a restaurant chain, launched digital content featuring former primetime TV news anchor, Shahan Ramkissoon, to encourage South Africans to positively anticipate the next blackout by shining a positive light on the relentless loadshedding drama and connecting with customers.

The campaign context:

Loadshedding is an inevitable part of Mzansi living. We've been having it. And we've had it. As frustrations grow and grumblings get louder, could there be a way to get South Africans to positively anticipate the next blackout? With a legacy for being an optimistic commentator on the Mzansi zeitgeist, Nando's rose to the challenge in their own slick, smart and uniquely South African way.
