Summary
This is the story of how Malaysia challenged its Global South position, to attract Green FDI at Dubai Expo 2020. Home to the world's oldest rainforest, Malaysia took a rather brave approach to demonstrating its commitment to COP27 net zero emissions by bringing to life Dubai Expo's first net zero Pavilion that was built to last. A novel and immersive approach that helped generate 12X (worth $24.5 Billion) Green FDI as against the original target of $2.5 Billion. In process, firmly positioning Malaysia as a preferred destination for Green Investments within the ASEAN region.
