Empathy and authority: Curbing misinformation around the WQ pilot strike
You can't always be fully prepared for a crisis - especially when looking at a more complex industry such as the aviation sector. Edelman Africa was tasked to create a reactive sustained crisis communications approach to educate and curb the misinfomation surrounding Kenya's largest airline - Kenya Airways (KQ). Through a transparent, always-on approach, Edelman Africa was able to shift the narrative around a looming pilot's strike and stop the spread of disinformation. This was a situation that blindsided everyone - but was resolved thanks to deft crisis management.
