Janssen, a pharmaceutical company, launched its disease awareness campaign #MoreThanBlue in Southeast Asia to educate individuals about depression as a treatable disease, helping them recognise signs and symptoms and show there is no shame in asking for help.

Introduction

Today, depressive disorders affect over 86 million people in Southeast Asia. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of patients that are aware. People think they know depression, but they don't understand it. While people with depression might feel like they're sinking beneath the waves.

Depression is unique to each person and each person's journey and treatment plan differs. Despite the differences, the value of sharing one's own experience could be a life buoy for someone else who is suffering from depression and doesn't know it yet.
