Johnnie Walker, a whisky brand, premiered its 48-minute talk show, The Round Table, to inspire the next generation of African Gen Z and millennial shapeshifters to take bold steps towards progress and purpose, and build cultural relevance.

While the past two years has seen accelerated global recognition of African Talent, on the continent, artists have not only been isolated from each other by language but have often not received the recognition they deserve. In addition, this recognition traditionally has tended to focus on creatives from Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa, by default misrepresenting the full depth of African talent & creativity.

Johnnie Walker, meanwhile, was searching for new ways to speak to a next generation of whisky drinkers on the African continent and to do this it needed more cultural relevance.
