Intel, a technology company, got its CEO to become the headline speaker at the Intel Sustainability Day event to improve influence in the Chinese semiconductor industry and strengthen its business development.

Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, was scheduled to visit China in April this year, his first visit to the country since becoming CEO. Intel hoped to use the visit to improve its influence in the Chinese semiconductor industry and strengthen its business development. But to do so, Intel would face significant challenges in three areas: Intel's corporate reputation, Gelsinger's personal image, and the current industry environment.
