Budweiser, the US brewer, took its Budweiser Zero non-alcoholic beer to category leader with an influencer/NFT campaign that garnered 121 media placements for over 1bn earned impressions.

Situation Analysis

In 2020, Budweiser co-founded the brand's first alcohol-free beer with NBA legend Dwyane Wade, tapping into the popularity of non-alcoholic beverages and paving a way for beer to not only enter the conversation, but destigmatize the category. Wade served as Zero's cofounder to help break down assumptions about who a typical non-alcoholic beer drinker is. He has spoken publicly about the prevalence of alcoholism in the Black community, growing up with a mom who struggled with alcoholism. And he shared how that experience made him tread very carefully with adult beverages, admitting he didn't have his first drink...
