Sky, a media owner, held a three-day training event, The Sky Academy of Marketing, in the UK to retrain marketers on the key foundations of marketing excellence and empower and support marketers to deliver their best work.

Executive Summary

Sky has been a major player in the UK market for decades, but recently there has been a need for increased creativity in advertising to stand out and retain and attract the best marketing talent. An interesting challenge for a company with a large fragmented marketing department that already creates commercially successful marketing.

The Marketing Excellence Programme aims to improve marketing creativity, effectiveness and marketer happiness. 3 pillars form the first phase are starting to reap great rewards:
