1. War and peace

This book is not a quick read, but I was very glad I persevered. It combines a fantastic storyline that works on so many levels – with amazing craft and writing – and despite being set in early nineteenth century Russia, remains incredibly gripping throughout (characteristics that remain equally relevant in the modern comms environment).
