Advertising Association/WARC Expenditure Report Q1 2023

This report summaries the latest advertising spend data collected within the AA/WARC expenditure Report.
  • The latest AA/WARC survey data shows that UK ad spend was flat during the first three months of 2023, at a total of £9.0bn.
  • With the exception of search (+5.1%), out of home (+5.1%) and online display (+3.6), all media recorded a decrease in spend during the first quarter of 2023; among the product categories, services (which includes holidays and travel) recorded the strongest rise in investment during the first quarter (+17.1%).
