In his opening remarks Jon Pouleston (GMI, UK) and chair of the conference's programme committee 'warned' delegates to be prepared for a sustained period of change in the MR industry, where traditional assumptions will continue to be challenged. Such paradigm shifts are likely going to lead to major new breakthroughs and we should no longer just talk about 'what's new' and instead focus on 'what can we do with' and develop the scientific underpinning of how we do research.
