The Royal Mail has been getting a bit of a bashing recently. Losing 1.5 million every day. Cutting out the second delivery. Having 17,000 managers (which it now thinks may be a couple too many). And getting serious competition for its business mail.

But one bit of the Royal Mail is trying very hard. I replied to a colour ad offering The Evidence for maintaining your marketing budget in troubled times. Nothing happened for two weeks, but luckily I had torn out the ad, so I rang up again and two weeks later a bulky envelope arrived, correctly addressed. It was worth the effort, as this mailshot is well thoughtout and a very good read.
