Practical reasons why the UK buys little programming from Europe, and favours domestic product and English-language imports. Could football break the deadlock?
Thames Television is the largest of the United Kingdom's commercial television companies. It - (1) earns the most advertising revenue (250 million annually); (2) delivers the most programmes to the commercial network, ITV, (80 million annually); and (3) derives the most income from overseas sales (25 million annually).
