For the fourth and possibly the last time in this Decade the print media research fraternity from around the world came together early last October to look in detail once again at some of the problems of carrying out media surveys. A detached observer might be forgiven for asking whether or not delegates' journeys to Barcelona had been really necessary. Others claimed to be able to detect more than a whiff of smoke from the funeral pyre of media research as we have known it whilst gurus of the business...
