INTRODUCTION

Sensorial stimulations in fragrance research are often very trendy, but r&d and chemistry in general have difficulties in finding the right “marketing insights” accordingly. they have poor evocations because wordings about erotic emotions and sensations are under represented in both scientific research and communications (versus visual images, which are often misplaced and out of touch with reality).

This research was done for our client symrise, who originally wanted us to grasp some insights on erotic perceptions and sensations among women, without knowing exactly how they would use this material later. In the end, our research helped them develop a new aphrodisiac concept and new ranges of perfumes for women.
