Many of the ad agency presentations at the 2013 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity were characterised by the timeless nature of their advice: creativity, after all, is an inherent human trait.

But, elsewhere at the Festival, several other speakers focused on how today's advertising is being subtly reshaped by contemporary media and tech trends. Still more had pointers on what marketers should expect in the future as the industry continues to evolve.
